You practically never see the same tram design, which also includes their metro/rapid transit trains twice. It appears that any of their designers for trains/trams had their ideas realized. By far the most extensive tram network of any city in Japan is (arguably) Hiroshima. And with good reason: because the city was built on the Ota River Delta, the soil was too soft to built an underground subway system like you see in many cities in Japan.
There's a slight mistake in the video. Kyōto hasn't had a tram since 1978, when the city discontinued its tram services. What is shown as "trams" in the video are merely normal trains of the Keihan Ishiyama Sakamoto Line which, for a part of that line, do run in the middle of the road. That doesn't make them trams, though, since they're not used as such. They're still normal trains. Also, the station in the background is Hamaōtsu station in the city of Ōtsu which is in Shiga prefecture (as pointed out by ToshiakiOno in his comment), the neighbouring prefecture of Kyōto prefecture. So not only are they not trams, the trains in the video are also not running in Kyōto (although Keihan does service Kyōto, hence the mistake, I guess). Still a nice video. :)

長崎の路面電車の古い電車は、ほとんどが西鉄が福岡市の路面電車が廃止になる時に譲渡されたという話が都市伝説があります。
最近はあまり走りませんが、仙台市から譲渡されたものや、熊本市から譲渡されたものもありますし、主にイベント用の明治44年の木造電車もあります。(朝夕のラッシュで稀に臨時で出すそうですが、冷暖房が無いので、真夏や真冬は走りません。)

Actually, there are some tram services, in Kyoto, operated by the Keifuku Electric Railway.
Sapporo, Hakodate, Fukui, Matsuyama, Kochi, Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Kurosaki, Toyohashi はどこいった。
